I have just returned home from a full day's training consisting of a half day Barista training course and a half day Latte art course. What can I say - I had a fantastic day. Youri is an excellent teacher who is clearly passionate about his "art" and is able to pass this enthusiasm on easily. Both courses were practical hands on training but Youri also took time to explain the "theory" surrounding making a great cup of coffee. I started the course with a little knowledge about how to make great coffee (although my attempts were very inconsistent). I came away from the training being able to make great consistent coffee but also understand why it goes wrong. Even my latte art was recognisable instead of amorphous blobs. If you have any interest in coffee be it as a consumer (like me) or in a professional role I thoroughly recommend the two courses that I attended. Many thanks Youri and Samantha. Having spent half a day with Youri last Friday, I was amazed by the easy at how he could create Late Art. He was patient and understands the how and why of all things Coffee, Limini Coffee evens roast there own coffee right in front of you ! now that's something you don't see very often. I enjoyed training with him and i'm sure that i will be back again... thank you - Rich

I recently competed my second course with Youri at Limini Coffee. I have now attended the barista course and the latter art course and I can honestly say that I am well and truly hooked. It's not just the beautifully fresh and unique coffee that they serve or the array of top spec machines that are available to play with or even the relaxed and fun learning environment that make these courses a great investment, but the clear passion for the art of making great coffee which is displayed by Youri and makes you leave the place dying to get back behind a machine and put your new found knowledge into practice. What an incredible experience! I can't wait to put all I have learnt into practice. The course was very informative and lots of fun. It was amazing what we had learned in just two days, from the origin of the coffee plant to how it is roasted, Youri even demonstrated the roasting process which smelt wonderful. We all had fun using the espresso machine practising latte art and learnt a great deal about flavours and differences between the drinks. There was really so much packed in to the course on how to find the best location for your coffee shop, best layout, overheads and margins and so much more. I am surprised at how much I have taken in; there was not a dull moment. In my opinion I could not proceed with my coffee shop venture without the foundations of the course and the Barista training I received at Limini and their ongoing support. I have just completed the 2 day course and just want to say a massive thankyou as was best experience I have had on any short course. Samantha was brilliant in dealing with my many queries prior to booking and Youri quite simply is an amazing trainer; so enthusiastic; welcoming and driven to ensure that each and every person gets the maximum out of it, a very rare talent. To anyone out there interested in idea of maybe opening a coffee shop or who just likes coffee (you will never taste better!), this is def course for you. You won't regret it. Thankyou both Samantha and Youri; I may not have seriously considered this as a career option beforehand but def do now; I think Youri's enthusiasm has def rubbed off; all I can think about is coffee since I got back!! Using the basic skills which Youri teaches, I can now make coffee using only a little domestic espresso machine that is way better than any of the big chains. I got my lesson as a Christmas present and before attending I was not entirely sure what to expect. From the outset Youri's passion and professionalism made the day and my only regret now was not doing a full day. John

I would seriously suggest anyone looking to start their own coffee shop to attend this course. I have 10 years experience in hospitality and a business degree, but I was struggling to write my business plan and needed a way to break through. Hi, I went onto this course with absolutely no experience or training. The trainer, Youri, is class A*, and at the end of the full day course, I was able to make such perfect coffees with the most delightful latte art creations. This is far best the most valuable training I have ever participated on, and I would strongy recommend that anyone who is serious about learning how to make perfect coffees, also participates on this course. Please don't go elsewhere, as this course was well worth the money. I am just gutted that the day came to an end, but now I have got my husband interested, he is next to go on it when I buy him a Christmas gift voucher to go on it. Considering we have been together over 17 years, I can assure you that it will most certainly be the best present that I have bought him, and that he will love me forever. The coffees are delicious, and are to die for. I cannot praise the trainer enough. His skill and professionalism is out of this world. I thank you from the bottom of my heart, for training this old dog new tricks, and giving me the confidence to believe that I can achieve my dream of opening up my own coffee shop, and becoming a success to be proud of. The course was an 'eye opener' in terms of what coffee is ALL about and what I need to think about in terms of the business side of setting up a coffee shop. Truly a valuable 2 days and worth every penny if not more. Youri seemed very experienced in all the areas we covered and I truly recommend this course for anyone thinking of starting a new business or simply IN LOVE with coffee. Fabulous.
